The European Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings exhibition wrapped up its 25th annual show on Thursday in Barcelona, Spain. More than 4,100 hosted buyers attended the event, the largest such program for EIBTM to date. More than 110 educational sessions were offered, also a show record. New events included the EIBTM forum, a networking and education program that took place the day before the exhibition, as well as a hybrid tie-in, in which a handful of sessions were streamed to virtual attendees. According to organizers, tweets featuring the #EIBTMHybrid hashtag exceeded their expectations, reaching more than 26,800 accounts and generating more than 71,000 impressions. Official attendance numbers will be available following an outside audit. EIBTM 2013 is scheduled for Nov. 19–21, 2013, again in Barcelona.
