The exhibition industry rebounded in 2011 by 2.7 percent, according to a report released by the Center for Exhibition Industry Research earlier this week. Last year, net square footage grew 2.7 percent, the number of exhibitors increased 2.3 percent, the number of attendees rose by 3.4 percent and revenue was up by 2.3 percent. "The results seen in 2011 are very promising and serve as a strong platform for the next three years," says Dr. Allen Shaw, an economist with CEIR. "With a decade of data and observing the resilience of the exhibition industry through recession and a fragile global economy, the outlook is positive."
