The Center for Exhibition Industry Research released its first-quarter findings, showing the exhibition industry grew by 1.3 percent compared to the same period in 2012, according to CEIR's metrics, marking the 11th straight quarter of industry growth. Net square footage gained 2.3 percent; exhibitors increased by 2.2 percent and real revenues rose by 1 percent; while the number of attendees decreased by 0.2 percent, which CEIR attributes to the weakness of government-employee participation.
