The final itinerary for IBTM Arabia 2018 has been unveiled by organizer Reed Travel Exhibitions. The keynote speaker for the event, which takes place Feb. 5-7 at Jumeirah at Etiad Towers in Abu Dhabi, is global futurist and author Rohit Talwar, who serves as CEO of the foresight firm Fast Future. He will conduct a session on how the meetings industry can benefit by learning how to anticipate and respond to a world of constant change.

During the three-day gathering, a program of some 2,700 pre-planned business meetings will take place between hosted buyers and suppliers. Other features include a series of "Knowledge Programme" sessions and networking events. The itinerary also includes a tour of the newly opened Louvre Abu Dhabi museum, presented in partnership with Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority during the event's Discovery Day.

Among topics on the Knowledge Programme agenda are destination competitiveness, and how travel management companies can stay relevant in a changing world. A select group of suppliers will offer presentations highlighting their destinations in the event's Central Hub.

With an emphasis on the importance of relationship-building in advance of doing business, IBTM Arabia will hold 12 networking events, including the famed White Party at Rotana Beach, dinner at the Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi and a final-evening sunset cocktail reception at Jumeirah at Etihad Towers.

"We're very excited to welcome our suppliers and hosted buyers to this year's event," said Shinu Pillai, IBTM Arabia exhibition manager. "We've listened to what our customers want and, as a result, have implemented a number of enhancements to deliver the most effective backdrop for doing business and to ensure time is very well spent with us. We have extended the Knowledge Programme to include additional presentations and a panel session and have consolidated the Discovery Day activity to maximize time spent together as a complete group.

"We've got an incredibly high-caliber pool of international hosted buyers joining us," Pillai added, "and we're confident that there's exceptional scope for great business to be done both during the event and after as a direct result of meetings at IBTM Arabia."
