IMEX America, the three-day meeting and incentive trade show that took place Oct. 9-11 at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas, hosted a total of 2,400 buyers from North America and 43 other global markets. The figure is 20 percent higher than the show's inaugural event, which took place last October. The show also welcomed 1,700 attendees, including nonhosted buyers and press, and featured 2,413 exhibiting firms. At a press conference held  yesterday, IMEX chairman Ray Bloom announced the show will move to bigger halls at the Sands Expo next year "to allow it to grow." He also announced that the hosted-buyer program will be significantly increased for the 2013 show.
