IMEX America opened today at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas. The three-day show, which is in its sixth year, features a record 3,250 exhibiting firms from around the globe. Among the 69 new exhibitors are Tawain, the Slovenia Tourist Board, Visit Flanders (Belgium), Destination Michigan and the Albuquerque (N.M.) Convention & Visitors Bureau.

This year's show offers a record 269 education sessions, including the new Senior Planner Open Forum, plus a networking hub and a new appointment app, Zenvoy, for buyers.

Yoga and meditation exercises are available at the new Be Well Lounge, while a new CSR initiative, Garbage Grabbers - Clean Up Las Vegas, was held yesterday for participants to help tidy up a local park. A new CSR and Sustainability Showcase offers attendees the chance to make Clean the World hygiene kits for charities.

"We have brought the global industry together here to do business, to update their knowledge of industry developments and to make new contacts," said Ray Bloom, chairman of the IMEX Group. "So we have been investing our resources in creating innovations and improvements in every area of the show to enable everyone to make the most of the immeasurable opportunities for business and networking here this week. With the superb support of our many partners through the industry and here in Las Vegas, we are set for an exciting, busy week that has all the components to be stimulating and successful for everyone."
