As part of its new Be Well at IMEX program, IMEX America will hold its first-ever IMEXrun Las Vegas at 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 14. The 5K "IMEXrun - inspired by Rio de Janeiro" is being organized by Sports by TLC and sponsored by Embratur and RioTur; it will begin and end at the Venetian's outdoor bridge and will include sections of the Strip. A water and fruit reception will be provided at the finish line. In May, IMEX held its first IMEXrun in Frankfurt during its annual trade show in the German city; the event attracted 250 runners.

Other offerings of the Be Well at IMEX program include wellness education sessions at the Inspiration Hub on the show floor, a new meditation room and an online wellness guide. "As meetings professionals, we are often on the road, so wellness is an important topic," said Carina Bauer, CEO of IMEX. "We think the IMEXrun Las Vegas captures the dynamic, caring, strong and community-driven spirit of our industry, and will provide a fun and energizing way for people to kick off their second morning at the show."
