Marriott Hotels has expanded its mobile check-in capabilities to 20 hotels outside the continental U.S., representing 19 more countries in Europe and the Asia Pacific, Caribbean and Latin America, and Middle East and Africa regions. Those participating hotels join the 329 hotels in the U.S. and Canada that launched the service in September. The lodging brand intends to complete the rollout to all 500 of its hotels, as well as add checkout functionality, in the first half of 2014. Marriott Rewards members with the Marriott Mobile app can check in via their smartphones as early as 4 p.m. the day before arrival at participating hotels, and will receive an automatic notification when the room is ready. Key cards will then be waiting at an expedited mobile check-in desk. A list of the new international properties offering mobile check-in can be found at
