IMEX, the worldwide exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events, began with a new Association Day format, providing a day of education and networking for association executives. More than 300 took part in the opportunity before the official opening of the conference and trade show on Tuesday in Frankfurt, Germany. Organizers estimate that the show has drawn about 4,000 hosted buyers from more than 70 countries. Total attendance for the three-day conference and trade show is estimated at about 9,000, a record for the event. More than 100 seminars, workshops and informal "campfires" are on the agenda, with tracks on topics such as industry trends and sustainability.
