Union workers at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki voted in favor of a boycott last week, hoping to move along stalled contract talks, according to Hawaii News Now. Eighty-nine percent of the members of Unite Here Local 5 who voted said yes to the boycott, though the details of the action are to be determined. More than 500 union workers have been working under expired contracts since last June. Neither the Hyatt or Unite Here were available for comment.
