The Meetings Mean Business Coalition has named Michael Dominguez, senior vice president of corporate sales at MGM Resorts International, as co-chair alongside David Peckinpaugh, president of Maritz Travel. The two are leading the coalition's advocacy efforts to showcase the value of business meetings, travel and events.

They also will help host the first North American Meetings Industry Day, scheduled for April 16, bringing together meeting professionals to showcase the value of the work they do. Details regarding events happening across the United States, Canada and Mexico will be available soon. NAMID was inspired by Canadian National Meetings Industry Day, created 20 years ago by the Canadian Chapters of Meeting Professionals International.
