New research initiated by the American Society of Association Executives Foundation will measure the impact and influence of associations on workforce development, education, the economy, member engagement and change management. The foundation will work with research firms WESTAT and McKinley, as well as the digital agency Social Driver, to collect, analyze and disseminate the findings, which will be available in 2020, coinciding with ASAE's 100th anniversary.
"This research will illustrate how associations and the industry strive to enhance the lives of individuals around the world in order to make it a better, stronger, smarter and safer society," said Sal Martino, FASAE, CAE, executive director and CEO of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, chair-elect of ASAE and chair of the ASAE Foundation. "We are excited to see the results so our members can use the data to tell their stories."

Susan Robertson, CAE, ASAE executive vice president and foundation president, added, "The evidence will show everyone is touched by the footprint or influence of an association."
