First-quarter index results from the Center for Exhibition Industry Research show an overall growth of 2.7 percent vs. the same period in 2011, marking the seventh consecutive quarter exhibitions have grown. All four key metrics are up year-over-year: attendance, net square footage, number of exhibitors and real revenues. "The exhibition industry is clearly emerging from the recession and may begin to see consistent growth for the foreseeable future," said CEIR president and CEO Doug Ducate, CEM, CMP.
