Group travel spending will grow by 5.3 percent in 2013, to $117.1 billion, according to the latest quarterly forecast from the Global Business Travel Association. Group travel volume, however, is expected to decrease slightly, by 0.3 percent, to 166 million individual attendee trips. Overall, GBTA forecasts a 4.3 percent year-over-year increase in business travel spending, to $273.3 billion. Following is a look at how the average cost of a business trip has risen in recent years.
