Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts has invested $725 million in recent renovations across its portfolio. The Toronto-based luxury hotel chain estimates it will spend an additional $248 million by 2010 on improvements.

Fewer than one-tenth of China’s 8,000 pilots meet international aviation standards in English fluency, according to the International Civil Aviation Organization.
