International has named the winners of its 2008 Best
Practice awards. The annual honors are bestowed on firms that have
outstanding employee recognition programs.
Minneapolis-based agricultural firm
Cargill was lauded for having the best overall employee recognition
program. Among the practices Cargill was cited for was its Global
Recognition Steering Team, which provides guidance to the overall
recognition strategy and execution, and its addition (in 2004) of a
chief recognition officer.
Among other firms lauded for their
recognition programs were Toronto-based ScotiaBank, which was
singled out for its excellence in strategy, communications and
program change and flexibility, and TD Canada Trust, for its
management responsibility and program measurement.
In addition, Charlotte, N.C.-based Bank
of America was cited for its training program and Atlanta-based
Delta Air Lines for its events and celebrations.
