Meeting planners who are looking to bypass traditional third parties when hiring destination management companies have a new option to consider: IncentiveTool (
   The Netherlands-based firm has a roster of 2,000-plus global DMCs in its network. Planners who go to the site and fill out a request for proposal should receive up to three bids from DMCs (selected by IncentiveTool) within a week.
   There is no cost to planners who use the service, according to Mirjam Verlaan, a principal in the firm. IncentiveTool gets a fee (about five percent of a program’s total budget) from DMCs that acquire business through the site.
   Participating DMCs must meet IncentiveTool’s service criteria; they do not pay a fee to be part of the network.
