The Incentive Marketing Association, headquartered in Naperville, Ill., has launched a new website -- -- dedicated to performance improvement.

The site, overseen by IMA's Performance Improvement Council, was designed to serve as an exchange platform for incentive planners and suppliers.

Among its other features are a blog, Perspectives, and a comprehensive events calendar.

The site also offers a research section with exclusive white papers authored by PIC members. Among the topics covered are choosing a performance improvement company, the economics of retention, employee lifetime value, and social networking and recognition.

A new white paper, People Power Sets the Pace for Innovation, is slated to be posted this month. Jerry Klein, the paper's contributing author and senior solution design strategist at Fenton, Mo.-based Maritz LLC, said the research shows that recognition of employees' collaboration and innovation is key to an organization's success, as it encourages them to come up with new ideas and applications for existing services to better serve the company's customers and markets.
