Arlington, Va.-based production, event and destination management firm PGI will add a new element to its gamut of offerings: incentive and meeting planning.
David Kahn, group vice president for the agency’s automotive market, has been named senior vice president, meeting services. The meetings and incentives operations will be based in Detroit, with 30 dedicated employees in other PGI offices around the United States.
According to C.B. Wismar, executive vice president, marketing and business development, PGI had done meetings and incentives for clients on an individual basis, at their request. “Some of our offices had dealings with major meeting and incentive firms in the past,” he said. “But as we’ve refined our offerings and the way we go after the corporate market, some of those firms felt uncomfortable doing business with us and saw us as competition.”
Now, Wismar added, PGI is actively seeking such business on its own.
