The Chicago-based Society of Incentive & Travel Executives last month announced the official launching of FutureSITE, a new capital campaign with the goal of raising $3.2 million. This is the first such effort in the association’s 31-year history.
Funds garnered from the drive will be used to further SITE’s education and professional development offerings to help the organization’s members adapt to ongoing industry changes, according to SITE president-elect Bill Boyd, CMP, CITE, CMM.
Enhanced education is being developed for tracks at SITE’s annual conferences, Boyd said, as well as for local chapters of the organization.
Campaign funds also will be used to endow scholarships to enable incentive practitioners to attend SITE’s annual international conference, to update and market SITE’s Certified Incentive Travel Executive designation,  and to create new programs specifically developed for the training of young incentive professionals.
