Given the breakout success of the TV show Glee, singing is sure to be on the entertainment menu at gatherings this year. Often, local high school or college glee clubs will perform for a nominal fee at meetings or events. If singing is not your group's thing, consider hiring other local talent -- for example, community theater or improv groups --  who can theme their shows to the meeting's content. Ask the local convention bureau or supplier for recommendations. Thanks to Brenda Jones, professional development coordinator at the National Association of Social Workers, Missouri Chapter, in Jefferson City, Mo., for the idea.
