Instead of hiring a deejay for corporate event, have each department nominate someone to play deejay for half an hour via their own iPod (which can be connected to the room's sound system). You can even have attendees vote for the best deejay and award a prize to the winner. To be on the safe side, vet the song choices prior to the event, to make sure the music is appropriate (and high-energy, if it's a dance party).
