Chalkboard frameInstead of individual printed menus, try this: Purchase several large, cheap framed paintings at an area thrift store; cover the picture portion with chalkboard paint (available in hardware and craft stores) to create a blank slate; then, write the menu out on the new chalkboard for a vintage-inspired look, and scatter a few on the table(s). Thanks to Hollis Tuma, communications and special events manager of Charleston, S.C.-based Lowcountry Food Bank, for the idea.
