Stacy Ritter, a Broward County commissioner, has been named new president of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, according to press reports. The former state legislator will replace longtime CVB head Nicki Grossman, who retires at the end of this month. Broward County Administrator Bertha Henry said that after weighing input from others, she concluded Ritter was the best to run the destination marketing organization. "I wanted someone who could be a strategic thinker, who's a good communicator, who's very passionate about our destination," she said. "Stacy's been around, she's tough, she can be very focused. She has a track record of getting things done."
