Costa Rica Inaugurates a Brand New Convention Center

After a year-long wait, Costa Rica has opened a convention center, which will act as a showcase for the country, displaying it as a viable destination for the meetings industry.

The new Costa Rican Convention Center features cutting-edge, sustainable architecture and design, including reflective roofing, rainwater recycling, high-tech air conditioning, sun shields to mitigate solar heating, LED lighting with solar panels, plus indoor and outdoor green areas with native tree and plant species,

The center sits on approximately 25 acres, five miles from Juan Santamaria International airport and six miles from downtown San Jose.

The venue offers flexible outdoor and indoor space, an exhibition area, conference rooms, VIP meeting rooms, press room, registration areas and dining/kitchen facilities.
