Already situated in a prime location with access to major highways and multiple light rail connections, Irving offers further increased ease of travel with the completion of the last segment of Dallas Area Rapid Transit's (DART) Orange Line, now servicing DFW Airport - linking the country's longest light rail system to the world's third-busiest airport as of Aug. 18. The first five stops on the Orange Line are in Irving, with number three being the copper-clad, Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas (ICCLC), and number four in the heart of the Las Colinas Urban Center, Irving's modern business district and master-planned community. Access to DART provides meeting attendees with convenient transportation to arts, entertainment and businesses throughout the area.
On Aug. 30, Irving celebrated another milestone and officially broke ground on a much-anticipated entertainment complex, The Music Factory. Situated in Las Colinas near the ICCLC, the future Irving Music Factory will be a multi-functional indoor/outdoor amphitheater featuring an 8,000-seat concert hall, large outdoor plaza for festivals and events, and 250,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and entertainment space.
