The 145-room Vista Collina Resort and the 322-room Meritage Resort and Spa, two Meritage Collection properties in Napa, Calif., have partnered with Bare Health, a fitness and wellness company run by two personal trainers, to present hands-on juice and smoothie demonstrations for groups. The presentations focus on specific ingredients that help with disease prevention and cellular rejuvenation. The sessions can be held for up to 40 people.

To whet your appetite, try the following smoothie recipe for a health boost: 

12-16 ounces green juice (cucumber, kale, celery, apple, lemon, ginger)
1 scoop wheatgrass or juice 1 ounce of wheatgrass
1 cup frozen mixed berries
1 frozen banana
1 heaping teaspoon turmeric or 1/4-inch cut of fresh turmeric
1 heaping teaspoon cinnamon
1 heaping teaspoon chia seeds
5-7 ounces mixed organic/pre-washed leafy greens
1 tablespoon flax oil or fish oil for DHA

Add ice cubes for texture if not using frozen fruit; blend together and enjoy.
