When guests arrive in Colorado's Snowmass Village at 8,200 feet in altitude, there are still another 4,000 feet to go to reach the top of the mountain. Groups can head out for hikes with a private naturalist guide from the Aspen Center for Environment Studies to study forest health, ecosystem restoration and civic leadership, winter or summer. Try the Snowmass Wildflower Walk, a 3.5-mile wander through lush alpine meadows and aspen forests.
