When your group needs to meet in the nation's capital, try one of these hotels that are prepared to help you add a wellness element.

• Opened last year, the 209-room Eaton Hotel features the Eaton Workshop, whose wellness menu lists classes such as yoga and meditation; alternative therapies ranging from reiki and acupuncture to crystal healing; and immersive, sensory experiences such as infrared saunas, sound baths and shamanic journeys. The brand's wellness values are carried out of the meditation rooms and into the kitchen, which whips up vegetable-forward dishes and detox food-and-beverage options. A slate of guest speakers and teachers can add a consciousness-expanding session to your agenda. The Eaton has 12,000 square feet of event space.

• The 400-room Mandarin Oriental offers the brand's wellness initiative called Mindful Meetings by Mandarin Oriental. For groups, this means an F&B menu of healthy choices (you can arrange to serve energizing welcome drinks upon arrival for all participants, for instance), yoga sessions, guided meditation, digital wellness and jet-lag tips, massage and movement breaks, custom spa events, expert health talks and group-exercise activities. The property has about 29,000 square feet of meeting space and a spa with eight treatment rooms.

• At the 220-room Park Hyatt Washington, DC, a new offering called the Sound Bath Meditation Session is available for groups of up to 75 people. Guests enjoy a personalized relaxation session called a "sound bath," a meditative experience using Tibetan singing bowls. This is followed by tea from the hotel's Tea Cellar (curated by the in-house Tea Specialist) to further the soothing effects of the meditation. The property has 12,000 square feet of event space and the delicious Blue Duck Tavern, which has earned one Michelin star for 2019 and features a chef's table and a sunken outdoor garden terrace.
