Vegas.com has released two new mobile applications. Both Mobile Concierge and Box Office in Your Pocket allow planners or attendees to make on-the-go arrangements via mobile devices. Mobile Concierge, which can be accessed mobile.vegas.com, provides same- and next-day show and tour listings, as well as hotel content. When ready to book, customers are automatically connected by phone to a 24-7 contact center. Box Office in Your Pocket, currently in use only at Wynn Las Vegas, allows electronic tickets for events to be delivered directly to a mobile device and presented at the door, no printing necessary. The venue then scans a barcode directly from the device to allow entry.

Online-registration specialist metroConnections and meetings-technology provider Cardinal Communications have joined up to release ScheduleFlex, an Internet-based scheduling and session-management application. Planners can use the software to build an online session catalog, which users can configure into a meeting-at-a-glance layout by dragging and dropping individual sessions. Planners also can configure the platform to permit scheduling of one-on-one meetings during a conference. ScheduleFlex is a cross-platform application built with Adobe Flex. For more information, demos are available through www.scheduleflex.com.
