T-Mobile SidekickMeet the new cyber front-desk bell

Condering if that suit is back from the dry cleaners or if that package ever arrived, but you can’t rush out of the meeting room to check? Now you can find out without necessarily going anywhere.
W Hotels is offering guests a complimentary text-messaging service that keeps them in the loop, even while off-property. And it works both ways: Guests also can text the hotel for any reason, whether to make a spa appointment or to inquire about a room change.
The texting trend extends to other hotels, too. At the upscale new Wailea Beach Villas in Maui, guests can voice their needs on a T-Mobile Sidekick as part of the resort’s Privacy Sidekick service. The price for checking if the minibar is stocked with the right brand of bottled water, or whether the helicopter tour has been arranged? A tidy $100 a day.
