Hilton high-tech roomIn an age where high-tech trappings are the ultimate status symbol, Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Hilton Hotels Corp. is jumping on the bandwagon with its prototype of the guest room of the future.
Room 267 (right) recently debuted at the Hilton Garden Inn, El Segundo, near Los Angeles International Airport. Technophiles can dim the lights and close the curtains by remote, then nestle in front of the 42-inch, flat-screen LCD TV.
For even more relaxation, guests can watch the tube in spa-like splendor: The luxurious Jacuzzi bath is outfitted with a second LCD TV.
