0909SCFL TribuneA  newspaper's loss is a meeting planner's gain, at least in Chicago, where former Chicago Tribune boardrooms and conference rooms have been transformed into stylish event spaces. Exclusively catered by Food For Thought (, the Tribune Tower, built in 1925 on North Michigan Avenue, now has an outdoor observation deck for groups of up to 200, a private dining room for 50, and two indoor spaces for receptions of 200 or 250, respectively. The spaces are available for rent all day, seven days a week.
