About $7 million was spent in a revamp at the 504-room Marriott Salt Lake City Downtown. New beds, bedding and worktables were added to the guest rooms, along with plug-and-play hubs for connecting iPods and laptops to speakers and the Internet. The rooms also now feature 37-inch flat-screen TVs. The property offers 22,000 square feet of meeting space.
