Short Cuts:Numbers Game Methods firms are using this year to control travel expenditures 47% will use videoconferencing, up 9 percent from 2000. 38% will reduce attendance at conferences and conventions, up 12 percent from 2000. 31% will limit first-class air travel, down 12 percent from 2000. 26% will hold fewer internal corporate meetings, up 16 percent from 2000.
