Last week, Pinnacle Entertainment unveiled new plans for its Sugarcane Bay casino project in Lake Charles, La., a sister property to the company's existing 1,000-room L'Auberge du Lac casino resort. The $305 million Sugarcane Bay will comprise 400 guest rooms, a riverboat casino, restaurants and lounges, a spa, and a multipurpose venue for meetings and events (square footage has yet to be determined). Pinnacle hopes to open the casino portion in late 2010 and the hotel and other amenities in the first half of 2011.
