The International Medical Meeting Professionals Association will hold its first annual conference May 17-18 at the St. Charles (Mo.) Convention Center. Sessions such as managing medical/health-care meetings, and compliance to medical codes and standards will be part of the program, as will the official launch of the certified medical meeting professional (CMMP) certification. An on-site health-and-wellness fair will be integrated into the conference, offering attendees medical testing and information on topics such as nutrition and exercise, skin care and cancer prevention, and breast cancer detection and prevention. Kathleen Wolin, an assistant professor of surgery at Washington University School of Medicine, will present the keynote, "A Healthier Lifestyle for Meeting Planners and Suppliers."
