Slightly more than half (54 percent) of the 200 North American meeting and incentive planners and suppliers polled by the organizers of the IMEX trade show expressed cautious optimism about the return of the meetings and incentives market. The poll was conducted in June, following the conclusion of 2010 IMEX show, which took place May 25-27 in Frankfurt, Germany. In other findings, participants said that compared with their events held prior to the economic downturn, their meetings and incentives now are held on shorter notice, are closer to home and are more ROI-focused.
