The Meeting Professionals International Foundation has partnered with Destination Marketing Association International to research the relationship between destination marketing organizations and corporate meeting professionals. Having secured funding from multiple sources, the associations will hold a day of co-creation sessions for meeting professionals across the United States to discuss topics necessary to standardize the DMO experience for planners at every level. An educational session during MPI's annual convention, WEC 2011, will report the findings. MPI and DMAI then will develop programs and best practices for DMOs to meet the growing needs of corporate meeting professionals.
