The Association of Corporate Travel Executives is partnering with the Brazilian Business and Events Travel Association (Associação Brasileira de Gestores de Eventos e Viagens Corporativas, or ABGEV), the organizations announced Tuesday at the Latin American Corporate Travel Experience in Sao Paulo, Brazil. “We are thrilled with this partnership," said ACTE president Suzanne Nuefang in a statement. “ACTE looks to foster innovative opportunities with ABGEV that will keep us on the cutting edge of the industry." The two associations will collaborate on a number of educational programs to be delivered in Brazil this year, and ABGEV members will be able to take advantage of numerous ACTE opportunities. Specifically, ABGEV members will receive complimentary ACTE membership as well as discounted rates to attend all ACTE events, and will be eligible to participate in ACTE recognition and training programs. The news comes one month after the Global Business Travel Association and ABGEV announced they had terminated their event and marketing relationship in mid-December, due to different strategic priorities.
