Amelia Island
The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort has completed an $85 million renovation project that gave the lobby floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over an infinity-edge pool and the Atlantic Ocean. The project also added 155 oceanfront guest rooms, including 27 suites, for a property total of 404 rooms, all with ocean views. The resort has 80,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.

Kayak Amelia (kayakamelia.com) offers guided Segway tours of the island. Planners can choose between a 1.25-hour jaunt to wildlife- and scenery-rich Point Isabel Fort George Island, and a two-hour excursion through historic Kingsley Plantation. EcoMotion Tours (ecomotiontours.com) also conducts hourlong, customized Segway tours of Fort George Island for up to 10 riders.

Ponte Vedra
The 250-room Ponte Vedra Inn and Club reopened its Beach House in March following a four-month renovation that gave all 20 of its rooms and suites new oversize windows overlooking the ocean, new king and queen bedding, and custom artwork. The inn, which opened in 1928, also features a gym, a spa and more than 25,000 square feet of meeting space.

In Ponte Vedra Beach, the 511-room Sawgrass Marriott Golf & Resort last year unveiled a multimillion-dollar propertywide renovation. The resort has a spa with 19 private treatment rooms, 26 miles of private beachfront, and more than 56,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, including a 16,000-square-foot ballroom.

St. Augustine
The 138-room landmark Casa Monica Hotel last fall debuted its renovated 95 Cordova restaurant and lounge, updated with new menus, furniture, lighting and flooring. The property, which opened in 1888, has approximately 12,000 square feet of meeting space.
