The Leading Hotels of the World bestows Commitment to Excellence Awards to members “whose concept of service extends beyond their immediate walls.”

This year’s winners:

Uppal’s Orchid in New Delhi, India, won not only for eco-friendly policies at the hotel, but also for its efforts to improve the surrounding area.

One Aldwych in London won for its support of Save the Children, StreetSmart homeless outreach, Cancer Research U.K. and other causes.

In Venice, Bauer Il Palazzo (pictured, above) won for working with Save Venice, devoted to protecting the city’s architecture from rising waters.
