The TidesThis veritable birthplace of the hotel/condo development offers three new ones in South Beach.

Kor Hotel Group, the same company that manages the Viceroy in Santa Monica and Maison 140 in Beverly Hills, both in California, now runs the new Tides (left), a restored art-deco hotel on Ocean Drive. Thanks to a full-floor penthouse suite, a rooftop patio and a classy bar, the place can host a mean party. (305) 604-5070;

The most remarkable thing about Sanctuary Hotel, geared toward single female travelers, is the owner and general manager is just 24. Nearly as remarkable are the outdoor treatment rooms at the spa and the rooftop cocktail lounge, complete with infinity pool.

Indulgences at The Setai include a “champagne, crustacean and caviar” bar, black granite tubs in the bedrooms and a five-hour signature spa treatment that includes a spiced footbath, a four-hand massage and a bath of green tea. (305) 520-6000;
