Avectra, an association management software provider, has released updates to its netFORUM Team and netFORUM Pro platforms. New functionality in the applications includes event logistics management, through which association staff can better manage specifics, including room assignments and A/V equipment requests; event calendar registration, offering calendar-based links to specific events for members; group registration capabilities for members; and the ability to manage exhibits and tradeshows.

ON24, a provider of webconferencing services, has launched ON24 Virtual Show, a new platform for online events. The system offers built-in webcasting and text-chat capabilities, as well as reporting and analytics. The Virtual Show interface can be customized, and its multilanguage functionality includes support for English, Chinese, French, Japanese and Spanish. Attendees can walk an exhibit floor virtually and chat with vendors at their respective booths. Separately, ON24 released new webconferencing technology based on Adobe Flash, opening up the potential for greater cross-platform compatibility. The Flash console should be available for use within Virtual Show by mid-August, according to the company.
