Ed Shartar has resigned as president and CEO of Experient, effective last Friday. George S. Benson, an operating partner with The Riverside Co., Experient's largest stakeholder, will serve as interim president and CEO while the board seeks a replacement from outside the company. Shartar, who had held the position since 2004, stepped down in part because he didn't wish to relocate from Atlanta to one of Experient's four main operating offices. The company maintains a presence in a few dozen locations across the country, with main offices in Frederick, Md.; Twinsburg, Ohio, Deerfield, Ill.; and Las Vegas.
