Another airline bites the dust: Mesa Air Group's 43-year-old subsidiary Air Midwest will cease all flights as of June 30. Air Midwest will stop servicing East Coast routes this Friday and West Coast routes on May 31, before closing its central routes (between Missouri, Nebraska and Arkansas) on June 30. The high cost of fuel, a lack of demand for flights and "a difficult operating environment" all contributed to the carrier's demise.
