CONEXPO/CON-AGG, the triennial trade show organized by the
Association of Equipment Manufacturers, opened yesterday at the Las
Vegas Convention Center and is expected to be the largest show held
in North America this year. Together with the co-located IFPE, the
International Exposition for Power Transmission, which also is
produced by AEM, CONEXPO will attract more than 125,000 attendees
and use approximately 2.3 million net square feet of exhibit
space.
EIBTM, a global meetings and incentives
exhibition, finally has confirmed the audited numbers for its 2007
show in Barcelona, Spain. According to the ABC audit, total
attendance was up more than 20 percent over the 2006 exhibition, to
7,218 (3,892 visitors and 3,326 hosted buyers). More than 400
companies exhibited for the first time in 2007, and scheduled
appointments were up 17 percent, to 40,094.
