The Massachusetts Convention Center
Authority is projecting a strong 2008 for Boston's two convention
centers. The MCCA estimates meetings and events at the facilities
will attract nearly 1 million attendees (an increase of 14 percent
compared with 2007 figures) and account for 620,000 hotel room
nights (up 3 percent from 2007). Overall, the meetings will
generate more than $540 million in economic impact, 9.5 percent
more than in 2007.
