Norwegian Cruises Line Corp. has received a $1 billion cash equity investment from Apollo Management. NCL plans to upgrade its Freestyle 2.0 program with enhancements to its fleet's dining programs, staterooms, amenities and onboard activities, all to be completed by mid-2009. More than $50 million will be invested in the dining experience. The company is in the midst of building two F3 Concept ships, to be completed in 2010, and also has announced a new travel agent program, Partnership 2.0, designed to strengthen its relationships with travel partners. More benefits will be added to the lineÕs guest loyalty program, Latitudes, as well.
