The new 27,000-square-foot home to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver opened last weekend. Designed by architect David Adjaye, the $11.3 million wing more than doubles the museum's previous space and features five main exhibition spaces: the Paperworks Gallery, the Photography Gallery, the New Media Gallery, the Large Works Gallery and the Project Gallery. The MCA will pursue LEED certification for the building, which includes a 3,135-square-foot rooftop garden and a 1,130-square-foot ballroom.
